another ride story,
Commuting home bound the other day, I see a sport bike making it's way down the onramp. I scoot over into the hammer lane to give him room. Nice looking 999rr or whatever the hell they are. This bike just looks like it will fly. Apparently the guy/kid on it is pretty proud of the power too. He rolls up beside me and starts blipping the throttle doing bunny hops with it. Well, those of yall that know me know that this kind of behavior is just not acceptable, there is absolutely no way in hell this kid is going to get away with this without ............ I looked over and nodded at him and stepped down a couple gears and hammered down. Hey wth I only have a couple miles until my exit, lets play. We quickly get up into the triple digits, he does good, tucks in in the right half of my lane and stays just the right distance out to not make a fella nervous. Cool looks like this cat knows what he is doing. I hand jestured to him that I was getting off at this exit and hear him hammering down a couple gears backing off. I then see his turn signal is on when I do a mirror check on him. Oh hell yeah, lets see what he has in this switchback decreasing radious exit ramp. I dive into it fairly hot and drop a couple gears just as I am entering the turning portion. So far so good, he is back a bit further but still there. I throw the mistress over until I am grinding metal off the pegs and am digging through at a decent pace. As I exit and merge with traffic I do a mirror check. Nothing there. Oh well. It happens. About 3/4 mile down the road I get stopped at a red light and here he comes. He rolls up beside me and yells "what the f#$% was that?". I just grinned at him and said "that was riding brother!" He didn't crowd me at all the next 8 miles while we were traveling the same direction.
