How far above your top triple tree clamp do your fork tubes stick up. I took way too much apart with way too much time in between (just ask Mrs. Smokey) and don't remember this detail.

Thanks
See you out there

Smoke,

If I remember correctly, it's almost to the top....like maybe just the fork nut sticking above. I don't have my ride today or I would look. Gotta go to a Easter Drama and it going to rain buckets tonite. I am a counselor and do that soaking wet........... Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Mine's about 1/8" above the trees. I read about it on the OB when I added the Kury triple tree cover. It really depends on the bike. Some people's sit flush, and others are like mine. If I wanted to lower mine to be flush, would I need to lift the bike?

Thanks all, I had it at about an 1/8" thought it was just above flush when I took it apart but wanted to be sure.

Doc....yes you will have to raise the bike to lower the tubes....but why do it?

Thanks again all

Just make sure they are even, that the important part.
Some guys lower the front, by raiseing the tubes. It makes a diff. on the handleing, you change it and you can feel it.
