205 on a shaft drive Shadow?
Its time for a new rear tire, and I'm thinking about going darkside. I have a 1996 VT1100c and I would really like to go to a 205/70/15 but I want to make sure it will fit. I'm not too worried about the height difference, but the width fitting past the final drive and also inside the swingarm is my concern.
I've looked through a lot of earlier posts on here and it seemed like some people said it was no problem, and others said it wouldn't fit. Is anyone running a 205 on a vt1100c? Thanks.

I have a '98 VT1100-T and I went with a 175/75-16. It fits great and I don't think a 205 would have fit my Shadow.

Well, in case anyone was wondering, the answer is YES!!! I just mounted a General Altimax Arctic 205/70/15 on my 96 VT1100 shaft drive and it fit great. Doesn't have a lot of clearance, but enough.

I've got a 195-65-15 on my 98 VT1100c. Still plenty of room to go bigger (which I plan to do if this one ever wears out).
