Got my tire mounted today
After driving all over the Buffalo area, including the Southern Tier(Cattaraugus County) and having every shop tell me that they could not mount a car tire on a motorcycle wheel, because they do not want to be liable if somthing happens. This included Bob Weaver Motorsports in North Tonawanda, NY who has a picture of a dirt bike with a snowmobile track where the rear tire is suppose to go, that must not be a liablity issue. So on the ay home I stopped off at my bosses shop and used the tire bars for mounting truck tires and put the tire on myself. It wasn't all that hard, the toughest part was keeping the the short sidewall collapsed while...truck tires are easy compaired this. I'm using a 225/50R16 Dunlop Direzza DZ101 on a stock 1800C wheel. Starting assemlbly of this project should start very soon. If I can figure out how to post pics, I will.

Re: Got my tire mounted today
Cool man. Mine is at the shop (ok some guys backyard ) now getting installed... I'm getting prepared just in case he can't / won't complete it. I can't wait. Thanks for the info. The more I read, the more I feel I can mount it myself if need be.

To post pictures on the web ,,,
first have them in your computer in a file that you can find easily,
Then go to photo-bucket:

get your free account
upload your photos into your account
as you pass your courser over a photo the box will appear:
Email & IM
Direct Link
HTML Code
IMG Code
as you pass over IMG Code click on it
and a "copyed" sign will appear.
then you can go to where you are typing your message and paste the code into your text block.
when you send it , the picture will be posted .
Good luck,

Re: Got my tire mounted today
Rigid, great tire I gues. I'm running the same size, the Dunlop Sport.
Rides great, pretty round on the edges, corners great
Riding the 1300 but with the Footsmod, so on 1800 C wheels.
Had to do a modification though.
Enjoy the ride.
