Kumho bites the dust
OK my kumho has gotten slick. 16,700 miles. I am now riding on a Douglas 205/70/15. The bead seated at 65 lbs. Amazing what a little soapy water will do. This one should last longer than the kumho I think.

Great tire! Both of them. I started on the kumho and went to the 205 douglass. Great install, great ride, and durable. You're going to love it.

Thanks for the data! So, what do you think about the two tires???? I ran them both and both have great qualities of their own!

Re: Kumho bites the dust
The Kumho worked good. I was hoping it would have lasted longer but it still outlasted my original Dunlop (8900 miles).twin1300 wrote:WBI7686 wrote:OK my kumho has gotten slick. 16,700 miles. Hey, the better the car tire handles the harder you ride! I betcha' now you wouldn't get 8900 miles out a dunlop riding it like you would a car tire??? I could only get 6200 out of a dunlop! I think after a couple hundred miles you will love the Douglas as much or better than the Kuhmo 165/80. Don't get me wrong, I would put a 165 on in a heart beat, I loved the tire..it did a bunch of things fantastic and it's the reason why most of us are on a car tire and the reason why we have this site....that tire!
Get back with us later and give us a review on the 205?

Re: Kumho bites the dust
I loved the Kumho 165 tire. I liked the Douglas tire too. But the Altimax HP 205/65-18 on an 1800 rim is the best performing combo Iv'e tried yet. If I knew what I had when the Kumho was on I would have rode it till it popped!
