Douglas 205-70-15
Well I did it and so far it feels great.
I purchased a Douglas 205-70-15 Xtra Trac II at Wally World 60.00
Mounted up really easy seated at about 75 psi and balanced in at 1 oz
Running it at 35 psi and all feels good.
I've been burning thru Metz's every 6 months and it was starting to get expensive...

Snow tires are cheaper up here....... I think it was $40 plus tax and state usage tax. About $45 plus $10 for mounting.....

Re: Douglas 205-70-15
I took this with my phone about 10:00pm last evening just after the wheel was put on the bike.
If you look the axle nut wasn't even tight yet or the plate remounted.
As for riding in Az you can't beat it we ride all year and you can be in the pines in about 30-45 min from PHX

I bumped it to 40psi last evening and the loops at the freeway inter change felt much more stable, so much that i really wasn't paying the tire much attention at all.

When you quit paying attention to the tire you've found the sweet spot........
Now you can really start to enjoy the tire....

It's great having to worry more about your front end coming up than your back end spinning out...... Wide side is cool, Dark side rules!
