Thinking about darkside-- 1100 ACE

Hi Guys,
I'm on my 2rd ME880 rear and sick of the premature wear. I am worried about 1- seating a car tire myself, 2 - if it does not fit under the fender well (clearance), and 3- mix a radial CT with bias front?, what size rear and front to use?

PS, I did a search and it was hard to find info for ACE 1100

I asked the same questions about my 95 Shadow A.C.E. VT1100C2
Admins suggested the old VW tires

I was doing some looking and similar size tires 180/70/15 have been successfully replaced with 195/65/15.....haven't done it yet purely because of budget.....(Wife and four kids)

I am debating a General Altimax(Love the tread)
and the Cooper CS4 Touring (son works at a shop)

Will be watching to see which direction you go.....

I love my altimax, warranty of 55k. handles great on my spirit 1100. Also heard cooper is good. Dont know.
