finally got to ride 2up with 205

after waiting since last fall, i finally got to try the douglas 2up. i cant believe how smooth it was at highway speed. i hit over 90 a few times and it seemed like i was going 50. it is like sitting on a couch compared to the old p.o.s. m/t. i cant wait until this weather breaks so i can get back out there. i might buy another tire now so when this one is worn out, i will have a new one ready. i got the first one for $55 and the last time i was at wally world it went up to $60. if i wait until i need a new one it might be $80 or worse yet, not made any more. i love this tire and so does the girl. if nondarksiders rode my bike, they would all be in line buying one.

I can't pay people to write stuff like this. It has to be ridden to be understood! You did a good job telling it. Glad she likes it.....my wife does too and they do notice the difference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If any of you guys own a 1300 and have not tried the wideside, you just gotta ride the 205! It's smooth.....especially 2 up riding. The weight really makes the tire work even better!

I cant wait to get the time to change mine out. I havent even had the time to do maint. on the bikes, uselly I have them all serviced and ready to go for summer by now. Weather is going to clear up this Sat. and I hopeing to just get out and go for a ride and put on a couple of hundred miles.

on my original mt I have over 6K and it's getting close to needed replace and am looking for general grabber or falken 512.
So, it may be in next month or so I will be replacing to 205 and definitelly will let you guys know my experience with it.

My wife and I have ridden 2 up since we put the tire (205/65/15) on. We have taken it to Daytona in the middle of wind gusts up to 20 -30mph and other than one little "hop" to the side it was great. It held the road great. The other bikes around us were not doing as well as we did. We also took it to on some pretty rough driveways or dirt roads and it stabilized the back of the bike in the soft sand. My wife usally offers to walk the long driveway and did not this time. We have about 600 miles on it so far all of it 2 up and love it. (Even better than the 165r15 - which was way better than the MT per my wife who actually sits above the tire and could feel the difference immediately). Love the ride and love the look of the WIDESIDE/DARKSIDE. Got lots of comments (favorable) at a local VTX tech session. Several said they would be going to the CT shortly.

Haven't had Tammy on the bike all winter and she's worried since she's pregnant now.

But she did love the 165 so it's a good thing.

I can't ride 2up, well at least not like how it is supposed to be
since there's no room on the rear, but took the daughter of the
woman next door a trip, on the tank.
My 205 darkside hold on more then fine, felt darn good, steady as a rock.
One problem now, a very jealous mother !
