General Graber UHP
Ok. i got the tire and not had it mounted on the rim. I have heard a lot people talk and say that this tire will fit the Honda VTX 1300.
Just by looking at the tire i have my doubts. Maybe i am just not seeing the whole picture. It would seem that the tire would be a little to wide to fit up in the fender.
Am i just being over cautious?
Has anybody installed this tire on a 2005 VTX 1300R?

I just put that tire on my C, I think the only difference is the exhaust mount has to drop down out of the way on the R. My tire slipped right in.
Plenty of clearance.

Is the one on your bike a 205 70 r 15? I couldn't really tell by the picture. The tire looks good on the bike though. You know how you can sometime look at things and pretty well tell if it doesn't look like it will fit?

Re: I finally did it!!!!!!!!!!
grabber is a great tire, I'm glad that I choose general grabber tire and it's performing well, over 4k on it
Re: I finally did it!!!!!!!!!!
On my R I had to take off the exhaust, then take out one of the bolts holding the exhaust bracket and loosen up the other one. Then the bracket would drop out of the way of the tire. Its worth the effort.....

You may need to put the bolt for the exhaust bracket back in with the head toward the tire instead of the other way like it is from factory. It gives just a little more clearance and is free insurance.

Re: I finally did it!!!!!!!!!!
Ok i finally installed the tire. It looks good too.Haven't really taken it for a long ride yet but that is coming up. Tire shop really wasnt happy about changing it, but i kinda figure it might be because we didn't actually buy the tire from them. never the less, 25.00 to swap the tire.
Installation went really well. no problem as far as fitting. I too some advise and let some air out of it first.
