Observation and question. Bad bounce, wobble.

I have over 50,000 miles on my Suzuki C50T. About 23,000 of those miles were on a CT. My tire from WalMart was a Goodyear Viva II. I loved the car tire and really miss it. I had to replace the rear spoke wheel this past winter due to some broken spokes and the mag wheel I purchased had a new MC tire on it. I figured I would run the tread down before going back to the cartire. At this point with 4000 miles on it I am so ready to get it off the bike. The reason is the piss poor braking with the MC tire in comparison to the CT. The brakes lock up the MC tire so easily it is very scary. I want the CT back on and will probably do it in the next couple weeks.
My question is more of a concern that I have with the C tire and I am curious if others have noticed. When the car tire was installed I noticed when on the highway at speeds of 65 and up if there were a steeper downhill run with a curve at that speed I have gotten into a bad wobble. When it happens the wobble takes control and I can only hold on and try to reduce my speed till its under control. I have thought about this lots and rerun the scenarios through my mind. The bike doesn't do it with the MC tire on it. And I've had it happen maybe 8 or 9 times. My steering head and forks feel fine, no play. I ran 38 psi in the cartire. I also say wobble but I can describe it as a wobble/ bounce that feels like its leading into a tankslapper but I have always been able to slow out of it. Downhill...... on the interstate ....... high speed...... road is curving.... watch out here it comes!!!
Has anyone else encountered this effect? I had to replace the old wheel due to broken spokes, I checked the spokes religiously for the first 18,000 miles I had the cartire on but it wasn't till I felt a rear looseness that I saw I had a meltdown going on.

I can only speak as one who was given one of the wobbly Austone tires, and suspect that the wobble there is due to the tall sidewall - and my somewhat fair "cure" for
it was to first have it computer balanced (after REMOVING dynabeads that didn't work) and then put in RideOn tire sealant, and that brought the wobble up from 70 to
an acceptable 85, passing speed. Still, I like faster passes. I got enough life out of it then, but changed to the Dunlop taxi tire and paid more; no more wobble, although
there is vibration at over 95 mph; I can live with that.
Oh, BTW, I was breaking rear spokes pulling trailers at speed. Changed to Fatboy wheels and no more spokes!

i think if you are running a cheap tire the side walls are gona be thinner . i spend more money and good a better tire and have never had a wobble even at 100 mph. plus longer life out of the tire

It would help if you said what size tire the stock m/t size is for the rim you have on the bike now. The tires with taller sidewalls(like the 175R16 Austone) have reports of wobble but so do some other tires with shorter sidewalls. Also how wide is your rim? All these things help determine what size tire might fit your bike and not get that damn wobble.

The original tire size was a 170/80/15. I do not know the rim width. I had originally researched all that info and had come up with the Goodyear Viva II 195/65/15.

That's a tall tire to begin with! Our 175/75's are a near match, which is the size of the Austones that had wobble issues.
