Front Fender issues...

Hello, i'm new to the forum. I've got a 2000 yamaha v star 1100 custom. My front fender is cracked where the pop riviet mount to the fender. My question is has anyone mounted a classic fender to a custom? Are the 650 fenders the same as 1100's. Also i've been looking at some harley fenders has anyone tried mounting one to a yamaha?
