Yokohama 195 65 15 Avid Touring S mounted with tube laying in garage with 80 psi in it wont seat used NAPA tire mounting lube on area that wouldn't seat kinda scared to go higher says on tire 1 ply sidewall spoked 3 1/2" wheel orignal tire 160 80 15 all comments will be appreciated

Seating the bead on any tire is dangerous and should be done by a competent person. Did you wash the rim and get the old soap off from previous mounting? That old soap is very sticky and will grab the softer rubber of the car tire and not let it go on very easily.

You have to really lather those tires up to get them on sometimes and all over where you don't think you need it.

Some people have let there's sit in the sun for a couple of hours and they come out and it's beaded.

I have the same tire in a 205-70-15 on an R and it seated at 65. Like Twin said make sure the rim is clean.
You could seal the rim and go tubeless.

would tire seat easier tubeless , what do you use to seal with , what do you use to clean with before sealing

For cleaning, use a good scrub brush or a scotch pad.
