altimax 205-65-15 indention
Just a heads up for anyone using or thinking of this tire. I noticed an indention on the side of the tire, like a crease, but had to really look closely. I called the company and rep. had me go to their web page, and there is a section just on this topic. Detailed explanation as to why the indention, occurs in the manufacturing process, but that it is perfectly normal. I felt relieved.

Re: altimax 205-65-15 indention
I have the 183. Just thought it would have the same indentation.
Let me know when you will be at the beach on a weekday. I'll buy you dinner. Want to see your windshield....not so cold these days. Tuesday looks busy at Sneakers, but we could sit on the patio at Joes....

Deal. I'll put you down. Sneakers at 7:15, unless it's crowded. Text me when you get there.

Steve, i will even let you try out my cool bike with the whooper tire. However, just got the handlebar clamps that were the correct size as the one with windshield was not. Put shield on, took it out for spin and man, head noise at about 45 on up to 55.(didn't have time to go hwy). Tomorrow will see if I can move shield a little one way or another to make a difference. Others metion lowers, even homemade. Gotta figure this out as my head cannot take that for long.
Oh, I will call you monday when i get there since i don't text.

Re: altimax 205-65-15 indention
when you are going 60 down the highway, take your left arm and hold it across your chest, palm down. If you don't have a lot of wind blowing your hand up (buffeting), you don't need lowers.
I had some and found I didn't really need them. I have them off now, and may leave them off. My plan is to by an engine guard and put some covers (?) on them during the winter.
See you Tuesday.
If you have buffetting, I can bring my lowers with me one week and you can test them out to see if you like them. I think you do a lot of commuting on your bike, so they might be a good investment.
Still can't believe the deal you got on that bike......

Re: altimax 205-65-15 indention
man, what a difference. My helmet has a vent on top and it was open. After closing it, sooo much better. Still some noise but not bad. Tried the arm across chest test and no movement, so lowers not needed. To reduce head noise thought I could adjust shield upward a few inches, but that would leave a space where air might hit my chest. Not sure if it is worth it. Just very glad no pushing backward and I can hold handlebars with fingertips at 80 mph.
