Hey Joe, sounds like I could write a song with a start like that, I see you are Valkless and I know how bad that must be but you are still able to ride. I think you have one more bike left in your stable, not a Valk but I think you have said it was a good ride none the less. Here is to the Valks being healthy again.

You are going same color scheme correct? I think you got the baddest looking color on a Valk. Post some pics when it's done so we can see Badmojo with new skin.

Re: First time in 10 years ....Valk-less
The bike was totaled in July 07 on The Blue Ridge Parkway. It had Corbin Bettlebags on it that was destoryed but I found a dude who does boat repair and he claimed he could fix them. The right side lid did'nt shut good no matter what we tryed after he fixed them. They was on the bike when I had the tins painted but I could'nt stand that lid not shutting correct so I bought a set of Valkyrie Interstate saddlebags and took them to the painter . They came out darker he said he'd re-do them and try to make them match better. The fender got a boo-boo when I had to lock it down to keep from hitting a rider that went down in front of me on The Tail Of The Lizard ( not Rick we had 2 bikes down that day )

This is what it looks like today
The saddlebags are darker I wish he would match the bike to the saddlebags but if I had that done it cost me he's doing the re-do " freebie "

I love these bikes
I've had Harleys I've had Wings and some in between according to my wife I've had 25 plus bikes since I've been with her this one is the longest I've ever hung on to a bike 10 years this June. The Honda Valkyrie one of the best if not the best motorcycle ever made.

Joe, Iwithout having rode one (for a reason) i would have to agree with you about them being the finest machine out there. I get wander lust every time I see one. We have a fella here locally that has a sweet interstate. Man so many nice rides out there so little money.
See you out there

Re: First time in 10 years ....Valk-less
The Valk was what spurred me to get a bike. I know a guy that has one and I wanted one too. One thing I didnt like was being so splayed open on the highway peg setup, not to mention that I'm short and the two that I found for sale locally were mint creme green. I think If I would have found a black one with the six pack exhaust I would have bought it. The dealer that had them was very unfriendly and I could not get anyone to help me so I went to another dealer. Saw the 1300 Retro and settled on it b/c thats the one the wife really liked and since she was doing the buying she had a great deal of input. She wanted me to have something with a warranty. We were both newbies and hadn't done much research. Now I wished we had. Oh well, I still have a bike that I love, it would be hard to trade her in now.
