want to chat with someone 1300r with c rim about car tire fitment
I have an 03 1300r with a c rim. have cut about two inches off the shocks to lower jsut a bit. I've got a line on a 20/70 15 goodyear triple tread. i've read this will fit, however, when i look at the tire for $120 bucks and how big it is i get weak in the knees. WILL IT FIT!
I need some reasurance from someone.
thanks

WOW...two inches out of the shocks. How you like it????
I can't say for sure, but with this combination all I could possibly see is some small grinding under the fender on the cross bracing!
I cut two inches out of the seat and left everything stock.

Hey V-Dog,
Let us know how it turned out. Didn't read your post earlier, sorry.
You can drop me a line anytime, same goes for all of us.
Can't help you much with fender clearance questions though.
Good luck.

Jerry,
I had mine cut by Pete from SOTMC (Suns Of Thunder Metric Cycles).
Pete sold his business and the shop is now under new management.
I don't know if they still cut shocks.
By the way, I bought slightly used 1800 shocks and hem them cut
1 1/2 inch.
If you do not lower your front, I think 1 inch will me more then enough.
If you decide to cut them, protect the upper part of the housing of the shocks,
since this is plane metal.
Good Luck.
