Back from " The Kiss My Ice Ride 2009 "

It was 21 degrees when you rolled out this morning.We had ( 7 ) Valkyrie's show-up this morning in Chimney Rock , North Carolina for the ride to Mt. Mitchell the highest point east of The Mississippi...Frank , Detn8er , Shades , 6 Juggs , Lucky 13 , Normandog , Smokin'joe .We could'nt have bought better weather for New Years Day .It was cold but bearable . Yesterday the wind gust at Mt. Mitchell was over 80 mph. We had to dodge some tree limbs on The Blue Ridge Parkway but the beautiful clear sunny day more than make up for it.Pic below is the hook-up at Chimney Rock.

Shot from the parking lot....I love ridin' to Mt. Mitchell without a doubt The Blue Ridge Parkway is my favorite ride winter or summer.

Observation Tower is now open it's took over 2 years to get the trail and building done.My friend's Shades and Frank in the photo.

Lucky 13 and I had 449 miles for the day...Enjoyed it and look forward to doin' it again next New Years Day 2010...Bring It...LET'S RIDE

Otis56...I saw that you live in Rock Hill one of the guys that rode with us lives in Rock Hill also ( Jesse aka 6 Juggs ) . One of my best friends ( Mark aka Detn8er ) he lives in Lancaster .
