Heritage Softail goin Dark

Hey all Reaper here. Moved took 3 months to get my high speed satiilite installed but up and running now.
Have a friend with Heritage softail wants to go Dark, has a 200/17 m/c tire on now. What are his options for a Darkside tire. Says the 200 is as wide as he can go!!

On most HD's that I have run up against the belt is the problem with going wider. HD is so specified to what they can use as tires they put things in the way to limit tire changes. My father n law wanted a darkside and his RK could only take a 140mm rear tire..... Heck my front tire is almost that big..... We tried the 165 but the 140mm he had would rub the belt already, so it was a no go!

Tell you friend is going to be trial and error and it will take a lot of measurements to see if it will fit!
