10,000 miles on the darkside
it started as a winter experiment, successful beyond my wildest expectations, its nothing I'd put on a sport bike, but it shur adds adventure capabilities to an adventure bike. As many miles as I've got so far, I'm just now getting the pressure dialed in I just put it at 38, up from 33, I started at 45, and kept it there for the first 5k only cause I got used ot it and didn't want to change in the middle of a snowstorm, when sprong broke, I dropped it to 25 for a couple thousand miles then up to 30, and 33 and now 38, in a thousand miles or so, I'll drop it to 36 for a thousand or so may stay there, may go to 37 or back t 38, who knows
I have about 9mm tread left at the edges, and closer to 10 in the center, at the rate of wear, I might get 40k
I still wanna get a spare set of wheels to mount bike tires for sportriding days,
I do have some high speed wobble issues, but I attribute that to the knobby front tire that I am probably exceeding the speed rating when I have issues sometimes I wanna go faster than I should, fork brace & steering damper will be my next farkles

Hey, Freak ... that snow shot makes me shiver and smile at the same time! For those of us that use our motorcycles year round for whatever reason the CT application just seems to expand the world, doesn't it?
Glad to see you are having good luck. Let us know when you stud the front!....

I've been running a studded front tire in winter longer than I've been on the darkside

As the hippies used to say, "Far out!" Haven't seen bikes with studs since in was a kid in the 1950's Michigan... had friends that used to race on the lake I lived at - mostly flat track and stadium bikes, but much fun to watch. Winter was always the best season for the extreme fun !!
