215/45-18 bead seating
Well I got my rear F wheel for my 1800c. Found a nice used 215/45-18 Michelin Pilot Sport. Mounted pretty easily on the rim. My concern is that the bead went on VERY easy. Sealed up and holding air fine. Was just wondering how the Toyo bead is to get seated. Michelin just seems awful "loose" on the bead area. Won't be able to try it out for awhile as there is 6-8 in. of that stinkin white stuff on the ground and no warm up in the near future, Come on SPRING!

I don't think mine was very hard either, no loud explosions or fireworks, and not difficult enough to make the techs have anything to say about it...
We might have a SECOND option in the 215 size!!!
how does it fit between the swingarm and up in the inner fender brace?
Holy crap man!! Is that tire really that expensive?

Fit good under the fender, cut off the 1.5 fender support extentions. Took both shocks off then pushed wheel up to check, had about 1/8in. on one side and almost 1/4 on the other. Plenty of room at the swingarm.I found a good deal on Ebay, thats the only reason I went with that tire, $75. I checked the specs first, it has the same section width as the Toyo at 8.1. Can't waite for this snow to GO AWAY! [img][/img]

Re: 215/45-18 bead seating
Well, weather cooperated today and got to put about 25 miles on the bike after work. Handles pretty good, have to use a little body english on my shale driveway. Rides great on the highway. Handles like my old custom that I built back in 02, it had the Avon 235 on it, pretty blocky tread for a bike tire. Have pressure at 50lb., seems fine. I'm sold so far. Can't waite to stop in the shop where I bought the bike. Mentioned it to them one time, typical reaction-- won't work right, I'd never do that.
