New here but not to the darkside!
I finally scored a killer deal on a VTX. 06 1300R, 36,000 miles, one owner. Just needs a few small things like a bath, oil change, and rear tire. TexasRon invited me over. We are friends from the other darkside website www.SOHC750.net. Ron and myself are mods over there.
I have a few bikes that I have modified in the past. The VTX will probably remain mostly stock as it is highly reliable unlike my other bikes.
I am from Tulsa, OK and look forward to seeing some of you on the road.
I have some basic questions to get started. online manual? oil filter part #? oil weight for the engine? very interested in a car rear tire setup. general maintence issues that I should be considering at 36K miles.
I have a couple 1970's CB750 choppers and one that will be on the chopping block next. Most important its time for pics...

Re: New here but not to the darkside!
Welcome and thanks for sharing the info.
Great you're able to do all of those mods yourself, or most of it.
I'm more then jealous, since fixing a flat tire on my mountain bike is more
or less what my (dis) abilities are.

welcome! Under the left side cover you should find the owners manual that will have all that info. Other than that, i dunno of one online, but have not looked.
VTXOA.com is a great site for info as well, search on there. If there is an online owners manual you will find a post about it

You can also check e-bay for a digital manual. I bought one from there and that worked fine.
