CAR Tire 1982 HD SIDECAR

Hello,
Ran into a friend of mine said you guys could answer my question. I have a 1982 HD sidecar, currently running a Dunlop Elite 3 rear tire on the bike rear. It’s a 130/90/16 no room for a wider tire because it is the first year belt drive for HD. I remember years ago guys were running VW tires can you still buy these tires or does someone make a tire in my size.

1982 Sorry! I have been trying to put a car tire my father n laws for years and haven't found a car tire that narrow for the HD's. The most common tire still manufactured, 165/80/15 is the closest and still too wide for you.

This is the closest thing I have found to the 130/90 16 it is a vintage tube type tire on the Coker tire site. You might want to check out this 16 in. vintage tires page at Coker tires

Wonder how it would work as a front on my Vol.? I run a fat tire on the front anyways...fills the fender beautifully and handles much nicer than the tiny stock front.

Any yes there are still manufacturers catering to the VW crowd that offer the skinny 15's and 16's.
