Opinions needed
I have my batwing installed. I'm going for the touring look. I purchased a fairing (saving for a trike project), hard bags, trunk, and a rear bumper setup. I'm going to use the bags, and set the trunk up so it's removable. Would the bumper be too much?

Re: Opinions needed
You know Doc ,
that is something that is subjective , you have to find someone that likes that sort of thing to ask them if that is to much.
the people that want to ride slick will tell you that a windshield is too much, and then there are some riders that will tell you that there never to much chrome , just do what you want to and don't worry about whet others think.
I would like to see it when you are done and then I can tell you if the bike is better with the bumper or without.
I KNOW I didn't answer your question , sorry but i just have to see it first.

I love my batwing and I have the same project going myself! I have already added the trunk and have some HD hard bags waiting to be fabbed and installed. Then back to the paint booth.

Moparman,
Not all Goldwing riders like chrome. Me, I don't. Gotta keep it waxed and polished. I'd rather be riding!!!! My opinion, trash the bumper!!!! Otherwise, the scoot is a real "head turner" w/that batwing. Looks sharp. Semper-fi MIke

Re: Opinions needed
Do what YOU like. It's yours and you gotta be happy with it.
Good luck with your project and I look forward to seeing the pics when you're done.

Re: Opinions needed
you need something at the bottom of the bags. Whne I mounted mine I learned the hardway that they need a lower support to tie them together and supprt them to prevent them from independantly swinging and weakening the inner fender rail. Use it and mount some extra lights on it/

Re: Opinions needed
The bags are going to be mounted to a .25 thick trailer hitch so movement is not a problem.

Re: Opinions needed
I say go for it. Bikes should be as individual as the person riding it. If you like crome add crome. If you dont take it off. I like seeing individuality and originality on a scoot. Put the damn bumper on and ride it. I think that fairing is sweet. Think it would look nice on the VTXZ too. Post pics when done. Please.
Thanks

Hell yeah, the last two responses are dead on and true. I've had people give me hell about hard bagging a meanstreak. I say the hell with those guys, it's my bike and my decision. So do what makes YOU say HELL YEAH.

IMO, yes. But it's your scoot, not mine.

I too caught grief for putting harley bags, trunk and fairing on my honda. As you said, to hell with em it's my scoot and that is what I wanted that riding season. This year I am riding all stripped down. Who knows what it will be next year when it comes back on the road. I like to change it up a tad
