My dumb question for the day
Okay ... so here's the scoop. Last November I got some awesome motorcycle boots for my birthday. They are just the old fasioned "Harness" ones, but I love them. As I rode through the winter months, I never had a reason to use my highway bars. Now it's warming up, and I do, which leads to my question.
When I put my feet on my highway pegs, my pant legs slowly start sliding up my boot. I didn't have that problem with my old 8 eyelet boots, but these boots are significantly taller. If I don't put my feet back on the normal pegs, the pant will actually blow all the way up off the boot.
I went into a local custom MC shop that claims to have tons of accessories to see what they had to combat this problem. This has to be a common problem right??? Well the harley tattoo'd guy behind the counter looked at me like I was just some dumb city slicker and said he never had a problem like that "in all his years of riding". And his shop didn't have anything that might have helped me. I thanked him for taking a few minutes to talk down his nose at me and left.
So now I put it to y'all. Has anyone else dealt with that? Is there some kind of clip that would just clip the front of my pants to the harness boot or something like that? I figure this has to be a common problem. I guess it's always possible that I'm just wierd, but we all knew that.

Re: My dumb question for the day
Tim, I got to tell you I have gotten to looking forward to your dumb question of the day posts
I bought a bag of bungie cords and in the bag were 4 6 inch cords that work great for keeping the pants leg down. I mainly use them with the rain gear to keep water from wicking up my pantslegs. But the cords hold em down too. I think the assotment mad of 30 cords was 12 bucks
See you out there

You can also get some of the sheet corner clips. They are used to keep the corners of flat sheets on your bed. You can dye them if the white is too much.

They're called Boot Straps and they are available all over the web.

There are others that are not "Harley" related, but that was a quick and dirty google...

I just busted out the sharpie. Done. Works great by the way. No goofy looks from others too. Actually I get asked where I got them more and more.

Nice Badmoon. That was the thought I had too. Looks like I need to find some corner sheet holders and whip out the ol' sharpie!
Thanks for the input y'all! I can't wait to kick the boots up on the highway pegs and not have my pants blow up to my knees.

Re: My dumb question for the day
I personally enjoy the wind coming up my pant legs in the summer. I ride with two types of pants, regular cut and cowboy cut. With the regular cut jeans I feel/look like I'm riding with highwaters on. The cowboy cut gives me a few extra inches to play with so it doesn't look half as bad.

Hadn't thought of trying different pants. I do enjoy the breeze, but I figure it looks a little silly for my pants to be pushed up to my knees.
