Rear baffle mod revisited......
I removed my rear resonator last year. It sounds great, a much improvement over the sewing machine sound. And much cheaper than new pipes. I like the new sound around town. But on long trips, I'd just as soon the bike be quieter. What I'd like to do is be able to insert and remove the resonator. I'm not exactly sure how to do this and am looking for ideas.
This is the rear resonator. I'd like to be able to take this in and out of my muffler.
here is the muffler openings.
Your 2 cents is appreciated.

RE BAFFLE MOD REVISITED
Steve O. I would go to a regular muffler shop with part and bike in hand.Looks to me like you could get a piece of pipe that fit the inside diameter of the muffler at the rear ,weld resinator to one end (you might have to slide another pipe inside the outer one to get down to a point where the resinator could be welded to it) slide it in and put a set screw in the bottom side of muffler to secure. This is how the baffles are done on my V H pipes.I have retubed them at a muffler shop.Hope this helps. RIDE SAFE Larry S.
