Looking for something a bit different. I like the idea of the 5.5" wide wheel that the XVT1800-C's have for mounting a 205-16 series tire.
Just wondering how successful anyone else who has these warped ideas has been with this mod.

I belive it is refered to as the foots mod. The wider 16 inch rim opens up a world of tire sizes for the 1300. There are a few things you have to do to make it work, dealing with the brake rotor in one that I remeber. I am sure some one can find the link to this mod, but i am not very knowledgble on computers.

I did the entire foots mod to my 1300c. 1800 C rear wheel, brake and brake mount. Running a 205/65/16 Michelin HydraEdge.
Both wheels side by side
The old 165r15 on the bike
The new and improved 205/65/16 Michelin HydraEdge Foots Mod
Nice shiny 1800C wheel, rotor and black caliper...what to do with the front caliper?!?

Thanks, guys. Foots mod with CT will do it right for me. Tired of being called "skinny" ...

If money is tight do the slapjack mod instead. 1800c rim with your 1300 rotor machined to fit the 1800 rim. .02 good luck.

1800 wheel
I have been thinking of doing the same thing. What tire size are you running in the 16 inch wheel? I read that the wheel swap is easy if you change wheel rotor and brake assy at the same time.

1800 tire
Oops I see 205/65r/16. How much taller is it than the 15"?
Never mind, It's one inch.

16" swap
That's a great looking swap. I love it when guys take the initiative to do these kinds of mods. Seems nobody these days do anything on thier own.
I made my swap a couple days ago. It was realtively easy. 06 1300 with an 1800 wheel covered by a 205/65/16.
Thanks to the great advice from the other Darksiders who have gone before me.
