Well I dont get to ride as much as you guys so the dunflop still looks good, since I dont get to ride that much I wanted to do the darkside right and you guys just keep coming up with more tires and Im cornfused. But sooner or later I will pull the trigger. This is a great site and was definitely needed for the c/t guys thanks to all of you.

Phil,
I was just joking with you about when you gonna do it!!!!!!.....just glad to have guys like you here, even if you don't run a car tire. We really just like to ride and a car tire allows us to ride. So, don't sweat it.

Ghostdog,
So far no one has ever complained of transmission problems or clutches.
Check out our 1300 tech area and the seal job by "wayne". He sealed quite a few of them with 100% success.
Mileage....I aint the one to ask...... With all the burn outs and sliding it to a stop, I don't get what I should. I had 15,000 on my last one with a 1/4 of the tread left and changed it for the heck of it. Most are still going and have not found the end of one yet!
Welcome sir and ask away! No trolls here!

Re: Car tires for the stock 1300 rear wheel
Hello again,
14,000 on mine with no apparent issues, knock on wood! Tranny clunks a little on a hard accel but other than that really smooth.
Twin, looking at your map, when did you make it OK? Was it Bikelahoma? If so sorry I missed you there. Rode in with a whole bunch of HD's after visiting the Vietnam Memorial in Locust Grove, a few miles away. Darker by the pound sleeps in my garage about 40 mi. south of Bikelahoma. My question is there anything to do to the tranny to freshen it up after quite a few mi. besides just routine oil changes and such? Any kind of preventative maintanence to gears, seals or something? No problems just wondering.
Thanks,
GP

Just keep good oil in the bike. The tranny will take care of itself
See you out there

None that I've heard of...although burnouts will kill the clutch sooner...mine's a little touchy when I try one now...but the rear just pushes the front now too so I stopped trying. lol.
If ya want to see one up close or ride drop me a PM. I'm game if I'm off work.
