Has anyone installed a car tire on a 2007 1800T, tire size on the bike is 180/70 R16, and if so what size fit the rear? What is ya'll opinion on running a car tire on a bike? I went to several tire shops to see about matching up a tire for the rear and they was not able to (was not much help) match up a tire. I did do research on the computer and I ran across sizes from 205/55/16 to 205/60/16 and the tires were to big for the rear of the bike.

Welcome to the board!

Isn't the T just like a R model except it has bags and a windshield from Honda?
The 205/60/16 will fit a 1800R with no problem.

Yep, a 205-60 or 205-55 or 205-50 any will fit on your scoot. I ran a 205 60 16 on my 1300 when I had an 1800 rim on it.
Don't let the naysayers in the tire shops tell you any different. You will find that they are quick to spread their ignorant self imposed BS on you. When they start with their stuff just ask them if they ever rode a bike with a darkside on it. Then walk away. Anyone that has put any miles on one will tell you the same thing you will hear here. Darkside rocks. No ifs ands or buts. Now with that being said, if you are one of them folks that only put 3-4k a year on a bike. Don't bother. The tire will dry rot before you use it up. If you are doing 10k a year then get you a tire and ride it like you stole it .... once you have wore the mold release off. There are several tried and true brands of tires on here to pick from.
And for the record, ignorant= lack of knowledge .... ask webster Laughing

Welcome to the site

See you out there

I have the 1800 S with spoke so it is only a 15 inch rim but i just put a 205/65-15 on with no issues, I did turn my exhaust bolts around though as I had read that was necessary. I chose the Goodyear Triple Tred and love it! You have the same rear fender as I do the R/S/T are all the same I just have spoke wheel with a 15 inch rim as opposed to the 16 inch rim on yours. You should be able to go with a 205/65-16.
