A tale of three bars - Scars and Scratches

Well now I'm on my Third set of bars. Count 'em.



Ebony started this morning looking like this.



I changed out the bars and the brake reservoir cover.



New Cover


This was Ebony this afternoon after I worked her over and then went for a ride.
It was good to get back on the street on such a beautiful day.



Heres a few scars yet to be fixed.

you can order new heat shields for the pipes, but they cost almost as much as the pipes do with the heat shields... pull em off, smooth them out and PC them gloss black

Yeah I checked with V&H I think it was like 300.00 for a set of shields. I'll fix all that other stuff maybe next year. Afterall the baby will be here in September. Got lots of stuff to fix up for him/her between now and then.

The scars just give it character. Mine has had scarred mirrors for over a year, found out that when you replace them cause they are scarred that you just end up scarring the new set too. The rest of it noone ever notices and I cant see it when I am riding it.

Let me see if I can answer this without getting myself killed.
Lets just say that at some point we all went "shopping" for a wife. Now weather we knew we were wife shopping at the time is a whole 'nother story. Anyhow you finally meet her. Shes a little old fashioned, but sexy, some might say shes a little "Retro". But theres her voice, it just don't sound right, and her butt isn't cushy as you would like. And you think that without these 2 flaws this would be my perfect wife.

So you decide to fix the flaws before you ever bring her home to mama. The Doctors preform their magic and now this little lady can sing! She can belt out a tune with the best of them. And her butt ... well lets just say its got that certain "lassies le Bon Temps Rouller" look to her now.

You take her our sporting her for all the fellas to drool over, knowing shes going home with you. Then one day you get a little wild hair and ya pull a little stunt and her throat gets scratched and scarred up. She can still sing, but she just dont look as pretty when shes doing it. You both know the scars are there and only those with backstage passes will ever see them. The general audience is too far away to be able to notice. Her voice is still loud and proud. But one day you know shes gotta go to the doctor to get fixed up again.

Well Ebony aint my wife. Erin is! And if she mis-interpets this parable Im toast. If yall dont hear from me soon, send the coroner.

Are you saying you dont like Erin's voice, or that if she gets stretch marks you will take her to the doctor to get fixed.......

In my defense I believe that last night I was abducted by aliens.
