Finally Crossed Over

Hi to all,

This past Saturday, (7/14/12), I finally got a car tire to seat. I started back in January and blew up a Nexen. I recently bought another wheel so I didn't have to put the bike down for a while. I polished the inside of the wheel and tried to seat the tire. That didn't work and I tried several different lubricants. I finally had to have some machine work done to them and it still took 90-95 psi to seat the last section. (When it's time for a replacement I am coming to see you Gearheadfla. )

My oldest son and a couple of friends are headed for Hunt's Lodge this Saturday (7/21/12). Going to hit the Dragon on Monday the 23rd. Anybody going to be in that area around then keep a look out for a Candy Cardinal Red Kawasaki Voyager XII with a Yamaha Vstar 1100, a Goldwing, and a Victory Cross Country Tour following, that will be us. We're also planning on doing some of the Blue Ridge Parkway, The Snake, and the Back of the Dragon.

Glad to see you got to the Darkside. Hey we are only about a hour and a half apart, would love to hook up someday, I am the V.P. of the Sunshine State Voyagers chapter of the America Voyager Assn. The Pres. lives in Melbourne. We get together a few times a year for different rides. You are invited to ride with us anytime, I'm starting plans for a ride to Ripley TN in Oct to Carl Leo's place (the Voyager XII guru) for BBQ and bikes. let me know if you mite wanna come along.

I would like to do the Ride to Ripley but I don't think that will happen this year. I am getting ready to leave Saturday morning for a week in the mountains (Tail of the Dragon, etc.). I haven't joined the AVA yet but plan to later. Keep me posted on any in-state rides. Thanks.
