The Blue Ridge Parkway / Memorial Weedend Ride.....

We rolled out of the Knoxville , Tennessee area early Saturday morning for a ride across The Blue Ridge Parkway and to hook-up with the Memorial Weekend Ride going on in Lenior , North Carolina. It looked at first like we would out run the rain but it caught us just as we entered The Great Smoky Mountains.We never got soaked just enough to chill you in the mountains and trash the bike's . Hooked up with my old boss in Cherokee , North Carolina. He was Harley hardcore until he came to one of my rides last year and saw what a real motorcycle could do in the moutains. Needless to say he sold the Dresser and got him a Interstate a nice one at that . 5 inch exhaust with the cross- over it sounds sweet.

Took this picture along The Blue Ridge Parkway.The weather turned nice and with every mile it just became a more beautiful day in the mountains.

Grand-father mountain in the back ground . No matter how many times I ride The Blue Ridge Parkway it remains my favorite ride .

Took this picture this morning on Britmans Memorial Weekend Ride somewhere between Lenior and The Blue Ridge Parkway. Think I heard Duffy or Normandog claim we had 19 bikes ridin' with us today.Check out that beautiful blue sky the weather today was perfect.

We crossed Roan Mountain on the way home the road across this mountain ROCKS.

When I grow up I wanna be Smokin Joe.

We saw this on the way home dude made this out of a old 1100 Goldwing and the front end off a 4 wheeler. Claimed he got it up to 60 mph once and it scared the hell out of him. He said " I just putt around town on it now "

I don't wanna grow up ....... but I do want to go play with Smokin'Joe. Once again Joe great pics of yet another great ride.
