Very nice! How's it ride?

So far so good ...almost no change then the 200 Metz that was down to the cords at 7000 miles

What size is that one. Looks like a great tread pattern. Keep us in the know on how you like it.

Congrats on the darkside. Welcome to the wonderful world of high mileage rear tire with huge amounts of grip and can handle anything mother nature or roads can throw at it. You are going to wish you would have done it a long time ago. Glad to have you here.

Your tire looks good...real good on your ride. Be sure to come back and let us know what you think after you get some miles on it.

sweet, like it alot and welcome, Acy...Just put a new toyo on my goldwing(t1R) and I thought my other Toyo rode well...Rode 1960 miles on a trip to Daytona and I think it made the trip 10x better. Got caught in 6 hours of rain coming home and I think I was the only one not ready to take a bullet....Hope you enjoy- scratch that- know you will enjoy your tire.

Welcome Yota, ya got a nice beefy tread there. It really looks nice. Remember it will only get better with more miles on it, not like those M.C. tires.. When the M.C. tires wear you raise the odds of having a problem.. Our tires stick till the end.,,,REAPS

After reading some of your ideas, I have official jioned your group on the darkside. Just put a Sumitomo HTR Z 205/50R16 on my 2002 VTX 1800C. Installed esay following instruction on bares vtx page.
Will try and post pics today

did you have to do any cutting in the wheel well to put the C/T on. I have a Neo and really like the profile of that tire.

yes they are ammo boxes. I was cleaning out my shed and found these boxes that I use to carry tow chain in during My 4x4 days. Thinking about having them powered coated black but they look decent and give me a place to carry stuff so it will probably stay this way thru summer.
as far as the tire selection goes....I was looking for the triple tread when I walked into the local NTB and found this tire on the rack. I wanted a 205 60R16 but the 50 was all they had. I fell for the tread pattern on the the tire and it was H rated so I bought the tire for $94.

More info on the tire. it runs great and doesn't feel any different during turning other than it takes alittle more effort to start a turn and countersteer during the turn. I think this is due more to the width of the tire rather than it being a car tire. It feels great on the road and I used 3oz of the dynabeads during the install. Tire was a little hard to squeeze on the rim but it will go on.... be patient. I had a motorcyle lift so the tire went back in easily but I did raise and lowered the motorcycle in place rather than wiggle the tire in from the side. I have had no rubbing issues and am running stock shocks set to max and a #270 rider. Speedo is running faster than actual( tire calculator says 8+ percent slower than actual speed).... but I never really watched the speedo before unless a cop was around....lol

Just a small up date...running 40psi the tire still runs and handles like a dream...at this point in time cant see going back to a MT.

I know what you mean , I won't go back to a MT ether.
Like you I run between 36-40 psi on my Nexen tire.
