Putting Voyager Trike Kit on Nomad
I am putting a Voyager Trike kit on a 2001 1500 Nomad. It would seem a natural to put a 195/60/16 on my back m/c tire. Has anybody else had experience with a Voyager kit with an auto tire for a back center m/c tire? Also, I am a little concerned about the width of the rear motorcycle wheel at the bead (3.5 inches) versus the recommended 5.0-5.5 inches for the auto tire (going from a 170 to a 195 tire width). From what I'm reading on this forum, that generally does not seem to be a problem? Any comments?

Re: Putting Voyager Trike Kit on Nomad
Roger, the 195 width will fit all the Nomads, from the 1500 through the 1700. The only problem I've seen is some people have an issue with trying to fit a 205 width tire that works with some of the Nomads, but on some of them rubs against the driveshaft housing.
Voyager kit on Nomad 1500
Completed installation of Bridgestone tire and Voyager kit on 1500 Nomad and all works great. Glad I did it. Have about 600 miles with no hitch. Now that it's basically a "trike", noticing fast wear on front tire. Now that it has this configuration and I doubt I'll take the Voyager kit off, Still wondering about putting car tire on front? Comments?

If you can get one to fit, you should use a C/T up front.

Voyager kit on Nomad
Doesn't appear to be a car tire that will fit the front. Any other recommendations for a front tire for a "trike-type" rig on a Nomad? Still very pleased with back car tire.
