I know that you don't need to hear how to change a tire , there are enough videos on youtube on that but what i did i will NOT recommend to everyone. you see i did it myself on a bit of carpet 4'x5'. useing tire spoons , wood blocks and a slick mix of dawn dish washing liquid and olive oil this makes an emulsion ( very slick ) and lets the tire bead to slide into place and seat when you air it up. To seat my tire on the stock rim it only took 65 psi for the bottom bead and the top one about 75 - 80 psi , but i am not sure i checked it at 65 psi and the bottom was in place and seated nicely but the top was about 1/2 in from rolling into place so the bead would seat. I started to put more air into the tire and i didn't hear the top bead seat , i stopped putting air into the tire at 80psi and checked the tire and it had seated but no POP that i was looking for.

here are some videos off youtube , this is how i broke the bead on my tire.

By now you are asking yourself " if it worked then why doesn't he recommend it to everyone " well it is because ,
I SCRAtCHED MY RIM WITH THE TIRE SPOONS.

The tire change took me 45 min , air and seating 10 min., balancing the wheel 15min , steel wool to dress up the scratches 1 HR.

Please use a tire changer that doesn't scratch your rim. or have a tire shop do it.

Good advice Horse....The guy that did mine took 15 min and charged me $10....I put the Dynabeads in myself....It did take me a while to get the tire off and back on the bike though.
But thats a story for a different thread...
