RUBBING
Got the Goodyear Tripletred all mounted up today and everything seemed to be going fine.
Until I got home.
Wife got on the back and when we hit a bump I'm rubbing. Badly.
The tire is hitting the ridge on the brackets coming back on the top of the fender well.
I've been lurking these forums and over at vtxoa for a long time looking to do this and I haven't seen anyone talking about this.
I have an 06 vtx1800c
Any ideas? What do I do... put a damn MC tire back on??

Re: RUBBING
You are probably going to have to shave off the rear tabs on the inner fender rails, this has happened to others, and some do this before they mount the tire to avoid the problem before it begins. Some do not have this problem, and some do. Only thing you can try is to set your shocks at the highest level, and if that does not stop it you will have to shave the tabs. If you were a solo rider you wouldn't have a problem, but if you do a lot of 2up riding, you will have to more than likely do a little modding.
