Tire for 18,0000~20,000 miles
I currently have a Dunlop SP 5000 195/60/16 non run flat with approx 11,000 under my '08 GL1800. It is my second SP 5000 and the first was removed at 8,000 in favor of a fresh one (the one that is on now) for a Rally.
I like the tire(s), however I need a tire that will provide me 18,000~20,000 miles and I don't think the SP 5000 will get that mileage.
Can anyone post up any mileage they have received from a SP 5000 or alternatively recommend a tire that will yield 18~20K

I would imagine any CT would. It depends on how you ride. What I'd like is one to last 30k with my aggressive cornering style!

Highest Mileage CT's??
At least one or two folks ran a Vanco (sorry, don't recall the model or size...it's on the DS list...) which I thought was a light truck tire. From the gl board, there were some impressive mileages being obtained using that.
Based on a sample of one (Kuhmo), I was nearly able to match my best rear tire MT mileage ever on my 'Wing, which was the OEM Dunlop D250. I wrung 13.5k out of the MT; the Kuhmo was a bit over 12k. I was impressed that it was evenly worn as well.
My typical annual mileage has been 10k to 12k since I've had the bike. Mine is predominately a pleasure vehicle, yet I do periodically flog the beast. Miles like those are tough; what are you getting for front tire life?
Hope that helped.
