1985 Shadow 1100 C/T Size

I am looking for a car tire to place on the back of the 1985 Shadow 1100 that I am now riding. The stock size is 140/90/15. Anybody have any suggestions on max and/or best size to go? Help is appreciated. Thanks.

Ordered a Altimax 195/65/15 today. Cool lookin' tire. Can't wait to get it on the bike.

Eric...I just saw this post. Are you sure the 195 will fit?
Widest I can go on my '86 is a 165 with not much space to spare!

Yeah, I know. I have talked to the company that I ordered from and they are taking the tire back with no charge to me. I am trying to pick up a Kumho 165/80/15 this week. No matter, as I won't ride until I get the front replaced as well. I found a shop that will pull my back wheel, mount the tire and reinstall the wheel for $50. They know that it is a car tire. I am able to pull the front whel, as you know, very easily. Thanks for your response.
