How did you deturmin the correct pressure
OK,,,,you have a tire that rated for load in the hundred pounds load carrying but your nowhere near that now, did you just ride through some water and look at the tread mark ?, fool with it untill it looked right ?, check wear on the tire with a gage ?,,How Ja do it.

re how did you determine the correct pressure
There is no correct pressure, just what ever suits your feel for the handling of your particular riding style.not rocket science, just play with it.

+1.....matching air pressure is to your riding style....not the tread.

Well,,,,I'm sure you know what your talking about but what your saying is that if 20# works or 90# works go for it, one wears the edges and the other wipes out the center, there must be a way to find a pressure that will maximize tread life and keep the tread flat to the road.

I run 36 1 up and 38 2 up keeping the shocks on 3. I ran 40 on the last one and wore the middle out a little more than the sides. 2 lbs can make a huge difference in the way the tire handles. Take your time and experiment with different pressures. When you find your sweet spot you will know.
