Easter Smoky Mountain Ride....
Took off this morning with nowhere in mind to ride but just could'nt get how awesome Little River Road in The Great Smoky Mountain National Park was yesterday with the white water very little traffic and some righteous twisties. I had to go get me some more It was a beautiful day in the Tennessee mountains today with temps in the 70's and sunshine.

Re: Easter Smoky Mountain Ride....
I got in 284 miles today and almost made the call to cross the mountain into North Carolina but only had a blue-jean jacket with me and it gets cold on top when the sun goes down.

Joe, first off let me say how glad I am to see you out riding. I am gonna say that is the thermometer sticking up. Didn't need an in cab gage with that on there. I have never seen a chain drive truck. That is cool. Thanks for sharing your ride brother.

I know what you will be glad of and that is when the Dude is old enough to have his on ride and share the wind with his Pop. You and Dude sure spend a lot of time together on your bike and brother there ain't nothing wrong with that. He even shared the cold and rain on the way to Mt. Ida last year riding up behind his dear old dad and seemed to enjoy every minute of it and didn't hear one complaint.

Mr Robert, there is no doubt that I anxiously await the day I share the wind with my son on his own scoot. At the same time I hate to lose him on them 2 up trips. Don't want him to grow up just yet But when he does I hope we can still get some 2 wheel trips in together. That young man has spent several thousand miles on the back of my scoot and as a lot of you know several hundred of them miles were in the cold and rain. The only complaint I have ever heard from him was once on the 880 mile one day trip to Louisiana in the middle of about 350 miles of rain storms we traveled through he leaned up and said "Daddy my ass hurts" I told him we still had 500 more miles to go and that was all that was said. The guy is definately a trooper and loves to ride with his ole man. Not to mention the fact that he is always fun to be around. Looking forward to many more miles with him.

You bet a good kid. Respects his elders and he made me proud to know him. You and the Mrs's did a good job raising him.
