Storm Riding... Empty Storm Riding...

Post  Daniel Meyer Tue Aug 05, 2008 10:12 pm

Well, the remnants of tropical storm Eduardo are tearing up the landscape south of me, headed slightly north and west...cool winds and storm clouds are overhead and have broken the back, however momentarily, of the 100+ degree heat that has dominated the area. Hot pockets and cool breezes, with the hint of rain on the air.

I can *feel* the storms...I can *taste* them. I know where they'll be.

Looking south, I can spot lightning and dark masses.

Yeah, it's time to ride.

The long way to work is in order. I'm due in early in the morning.

I think I'll leave about now. A bit of storm chasing is in order.

Y'all be safe...or at least fun. I'll be both...and neither.

Heh...Eddie was kind of tame actually...they just shouldn't name storms after men...punched right into the center of it, then back through the northeast quadrant on my way to work...7 hours of running.

Mostly just showers and cool breezes...but a couple good thunderstorms in there.

More later.

How about yours?
