Air Pressure
What pressure do you run your darkside tire at?
I've just recently switched and am still mesing with pressures.
When the tire was mounted It had 38 psi and that seemed a little high.
Right now I'm running 34psi and that feels pretty good.

Re: Air Pressure
My tire recommended 35psi and that's what I went with and liked it....just yesterday I tried a little higher pressure and I like it.

Re: Air Pressure
I have the same tire as Twin and I'm running it at 42. Its a little hard on the bigger bumps but its a nice firm grip everywhere....

Re: Air Pressure
I guess there's no exact science when it comes to air pressure.
I think I like a lower pressure on this particular tire. It seems like the flexing of the tread at the lower pressure allows for more of a contact patch when I'm cornering as opposed to just rolling up on the corner.
So far it seems to handle well in all situations.

Im running 40 lbs.
You have to be carefull of going to low, You can roll the bead right off the rim.

Also running low air pressure prevents the bike from wanting to right itself coming out of corners.

Re: Air Pressure
I'll keep that in mind. I don't intend to go any lower than 34 though. Thanks for the tips.

Re: Air Pressure
I'm running a Toyo 235/50 ZR16 on my Triumph Rocket (see pics in Rocket section).
Started running at 38psi, but have gradually reduced to 30, which feels good.
I've fitted rearsets now, higher 3 into 1 exhaust and taken off the engine guards that the original footrests were fitted to, and still manage to scrape the pegs.
It's difficult as there are no figures (that I know of) for recommended pressures, so it's a matter of feel at the moment.

Re: Air Pressure
Too much and you'll wear the center out...Too little the danger is there to roll it off the rim as someone else pointed out. I've been on the DarkSide 6 years and alittle over 55,000 miles. I like 38 in the rear and 40 in the front also working on my 5th set of pegs...( Valkyrie )
