I know to find the sweet spot.Does 30 lb sound to low for a 195-55-16 on a roadstar?

The sweet spot is very individual dependent.
What feels right for you might not feel the same for someone else on the same bike.
Most run closer to the 35-38psi range, but if 30 feels right then that is your sweet spot! Congrats

It's all up to you! I have ridden in the mid to high 20's and love it when daily riding back and forth to work. For the riding I was doing this weekend..I up it to 32 psi. We hit some twisties hard.
