Cost of painting a bike?
If I wanted my black bike painted Dark Green - how much would it cost me? What would be a reasonable cost?

Re: Cost of painting a bike?
Too many variables to give a definate answer. But expect to spend 2 grand. Just my paint and other goodies needed to paint mine cost me 600 not including paying the painter.

Here is a picture of one of the bikes he did.... https://2img.net/h/i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff41/crapsterrox/064.jpg
If you would like more info on painting or would like info on stickers here is a link....

Good luck with which ever you choose.

Re: Cost of painting a bike?
Be careful who you ask to do it as well. Most any auto body shop can give you paint. I would make sure they have a proper booth. Usually if they have a good booth they can put out quality paint. You might trying to ask Twin this question. He is a closet painter. Just has not come out yet. He He He.

Man Smokin Joe that bike has got something growing off the back of it. I had never seen that set up before. Sweet, and good idea for a long trip. How does the boss like that position? Inquireing minds want to know.

Shes only been on the Bandit once we rode it out for supper one night. She like's the Valk with nice back and arm rests. I have Nelson Riggs saddlebags for the Bandit also . My longest trip on it was to Oak Hill Fl. and to be honest as long as you keep the miles to around 400 a day its is a sweet bike more than 400 the twins will let you know its time to rest....The Bandit is a 180 MPH Tourer

Sounds like too much fun. I will quit now. Dont want to steal this thread. Anyway. I am getting to a point where I like that bed liner idea. I like it better now that i know that there is a UV protectant that can be used. Good idea. Kinda a mix between class and bad boy.

I painted and pinstriped my own ride. With paint and use of the booth it was around $500 to paint mine!

Re: Cost of painting a bike?
If you have the Galaxy Quest DVD, look at the outtake scenes. Very nice one of Sigourney that they left out. Now what were we talking about?????
Oh yea, painting. Thanks for the ideas guys. I have some ideas for a paintjob, but it entails the frame too. And I have not found a decal that I just gotta have or one with something that would match the fenders on the spirit. The rear fender makes it more dificult.
So, I may just opt to leave her as is for now and paint her up at 30k.

Re: Cost of painting a bike?
Here's the "Deathstar".....hehehehe '76 1000 Wing with apes, floorboards and heal toe shifter (made by me), Harley rear fender (cut to fit, by me), and headlight relocated (by me also). It's my bosses wing and he let me cut it up and weld pieces to fit. I also had to do most of the wiring to get it where it is today!
