SISSY LIGHTS
O.K., So I'm one those guys riding a Wingabago with hundreds of Sissy lights. Right "Sissy Lights".
I ride into a gas station one day and there's a few Farmers sitting at the picnic table eating their egg sandwiches when one of 'em says "Boy, whatcha doin with all them Sissy Lights?" I couldn't help but laugh out loud and I said "So Plowboys like you can see me". They all laughed too. Since then I have always referred to them as Sissy Lights.
But seriously, in addition to the 400+ LEDS on the wing I also inserted emergency vehicle strobe lights in the front faring air vents. They are the same strobes that the State Patrol uses. Glass and steel, Baby. You purchase the ones with the clear lens and then choose the color you want by purchasing a gel from parts unlimited and using an adhesive to attach it to the light lens. I have used orange and green and now blue.
Here's the trick. Strobes are illegal on common carriers however there are a dozen different settings for the flash pattern including STEADY BURN (Not flashing). Daytime use ONLY because They are that damn bright. The left-turning cagers will now do double-takes (actually they stare). I'll never ride without them again. They cost $125 each but worth every penny. The light blue resembles the same color emitted by modern vehicle headlights. I've shown them to the Police, Sheriff and State Patrol and they don't have a problem with them. As additional precaution the switch is right at my thumb. Don't use them going through towns, you might not have time to turn them off in case a Bored Barney want's to chat with you. Keep in mind these lights are only for the Pros and not the Worry Warts.

Re: SISSY LIGHTS
you might get away with the little blue dots they have for your windshield sprayers on your car for a while, but you run
anything bright blue in Ga. you're going to jail. They take SERIOUS offense to it, and don't give a rat's patootie what
your strobe pattern is! Incidentally, some of the "white" LED's you can buy off Fleabay or wherever are bluish, and can
get you in trouble too.

Re: SISSY LIGHTS
Personally, I'm for anything that can give me an edge on safety. I don't give a rats patootie even if I DO get a ticket and don't anybody believe that stuff about going to jail. At the most you might get a warning or a ticket. I have very bright oscillating LEDS up front and back and they have been a Godsend during dense fog and heavy rain. One time I forgot to turn them off after leaving a downpour. The state pulled me over. They could see I was still soaked and only gave me a warning.
Last year I was on the "Tail" riding my V-rod when a group of Crotchers came up from behind. The leader had this intense green light between his forks. I slowed down to let them go around. When I caught up with them at the Resort I checked out his bike and he had done the same thing that Jacksewell talked about. It was an LED emergency light only about 1 inch by 3 inches locked on Constant Burn. He said it was the same light that the State uses on the Mowing Tractors. It was a clear unit but he put a green filter on it. I know a couple guys who are Patriot Riders and use them when escorting Funerals. They are also Members of C.O.P.S...Concerns of Police Survivors and they escort and provide assistance to the families of fallen Officers.
Right on Jack

Re: SISSY LIGHTS
I misquoted my cop buds. I meant a ticket, not jail.
