My Grandfather was a Darksider. My Father was a Darksider. I have been a Darksider for 42 years! My C14 rear tire was replaced with a Sumitomo 205/50/ZR17 rite after I purchased the bike. Tire spin eliminated, curve slip eliminated, hard break slide eliminated, all around 10 times better tire than stock. I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains not far from the Dragon, I drag the Pegs.....

Concours 1400 Empty Concours 14 - in the rain

Your comments are interesting. I often ride in heavy rain on fairly twisty roads to work. In your experience how do your tires do in the wet --- especially in cornering? Thanks.

Been waiting for a post of the C14.
Using a ct on the c10 over four years now and on the concours forum has very few takers.
I copied and posted your comment, do hope I have not vilolated the rules here.
my ct byline: More traction in all conditions and attitudes Wink

You ride the BRP with these? After my 3rd trip down the BRP this year, my Kumho ectasa was showing cord at the shoulder of the tire on my Gold Wing.Hhad to get a MT as a replacement, the service manager at the dealership in Asheville mentioned that the BRP was tough on tires due to the rough blend of asphalt they use on it. Do your tires wear out on the shoulder first?
I would like to go with a ct on the 1400 because of the abysmal mileage it is giving on the MT like 5 to 6 k but am leery of the handling if I get sporty. I don't often get sporty but would hate to dump it because the shoulder of the tire lost traction.

Just got a new-to-me C14. Going DS as soon as the rear wears out.
I already got another PR2 with the deal, so that will be on the front.

Been DDS on the C10 for years.

Better. Much better.
