New to the board but not to wings. My dad has upgraded to an 1800 and is shocked by the rear tire wear. No surprise huh. He's not much for forums but placed me in charge of the darkside research. I have been looking for an alpin but can only find them in 195/60 not 55. Have they stopped making the 55 or is it just the season? Jay

The Alpin is a seasonal winter tire and it is really hard to find right now.
You might try these folks http://www.1010tires.com/Tires/Michelin/Primacy+Alpin+PA3+-+Run+Flat/16265
They had the 195/55/16 a few weeks ago.
Sams Club and Discount Tire have been able to order them for some.

I'm a first time GW owner of a 1995 GL1500A running a 160/80B16. I haven't found my exact bike on here yet and am curious if the right size C/T for it is 195/55R16?

Also, what's the major difference, besides price in the run-flats vs. normal C/Ters?

Thanks,
Sgt Charlie

For a 1500, the size you need is a 175/60R-16, go read a couple of the threads on this page.
People that are using them have posted quite a bit on the topic.
