Usually one that is fairly close to the bike's original tire size.

the currant tire is 170/80-15

I'd look at a 185/65/15 size.

i ride suzuki m50 had a blow out this mornin with a 365 dollar mt tire at 65 miles an hour saved the bike got mad look on this site and found out what size car tire i needed. got a 195/65/15 put on feels alittle different but rides really good thank all of u on here without this site i wouldnt have known what 2 do .

I'm not sure what size he can use, but on my little vs800 I run the 165/80 X 15 tire. He might be able to go up some depending on how much room he has between the tire and swingarm. Remember these tires are a bitch to put on and take a lot of lube and air pressure to seat the beads.
