My tire is in and I am waiting on the rim and rotor to come in for my 2005 1800S. Which will become a R/S next week. I got the 205/60R-16 Goodyear Assurance Triple Tread. I have read and reread Bare Ass Choppers removal and re-install of a rear tire several times and have all the tools ready to go. Can't wait to join the DARKSIDE

Congrats you are going to love it! I sealed my rim on my S and went with the GYTT. I just put 170 miles on today it got up to 65 here and I had a day off and got to enjoy it.

I started at 37 psi and the road ruts felt a little funny, kind of wiggled in them. I posted that here on the board and the great members here suggested i lower it to 34. I did and it was much better felt really good there. I now run about 35 and when it gets down to say 33.5 i pump it back up to 35. Everyone has their own sweet spot and you will have to find yours. 2 psi one direction or the other can make a big difference in the feel. So start and try it at a few different pressures to see what you like. I love the GYTT it sticks like glue in the twisties and rides like a dream compared to a MC tire. Our local group did the Oklahoma Motorcycle Survival Course put on by the Edmond and State Police and I had no problems doing the cones or anything else at slow speed maneuvers. I did have trouble with the box, but turning that beast in a 10 foot box is tough, even if those police officers do make it look easy.

Rotor and rim should be here today, hopefully I can have it mounted today as well. If not then full conversion should be complete tomorrow.

Ok so after fighting cus with the brake pin (14mm), it was held in with green loctite, I torched it to loosen it, With a little help from dear old dad we were able to get everything mounted thumbup . On the test ride I was unsure of what to expect confused and what pressure to run hmmm . Its kinda high right now at 43psi, seemed to run well. My main concern is that the rear brake pads don't appear to have seated properly and made a terribly loud scrapping/rubbing sound banghd . When the foot brake was depressed the sound stopped. Looking at the rear rotor(brand new), the wear pattern seemed to be uneven Shrug . So tomorrow I will pull them again and try to reseat.
