Sides of my tire are rubbing............
I,m getting some tire rubbing on the sides of my tire within an inch of the edge of the tread.
I'm running a Michelin 205/65/16R Hydroedge with 44 psi, my factory schocks are set at the number 5 setting.
I'm riding an 02 VTX 1800C.
Any Ideas

yup, jack the bike up, and this part is easier if you remove the rear tire, take an angle grinder to that little lip that sticks our for the last few inches of it, touch up ground area with a little paint to help reduce corrosion and you shouldn't have any problems afterwards. That's what I wound up doing with mine to fix the same thing...

Nodakbassmaster,
I removed the Grab Rail Backing Assemly from under my fender (It was really easy to do) and did all of the needed grinding in my vise with my 7" Angle Grinder.
I removed the ridge completly at the rear for about 4" forward along with about an 1/8" on the entire length.
No more rubbin on the tire, glad I caught it early.
Thanks for the help.

sweet! Glad it worked out for you... I did mine with the inner brace on the bike, took the tire off and sat under the fender with the grinder.... only a few sparks went down the shirt...
