Which tire seats easiest
Hi, I have a VTX 1300 and plan on buying a Michelin HE or Goodyear TT, 205-70-15. What I'd like to know is which tire seems to seat easier, or with the least air pressure. I really don't want to go up to 100 lbs. if I don't have to. Would really appreciate some feedback on this. Thanks in advance, Ray.

The Dunlop Signature we put on my buddy's VTX slid right on. He loves it to death; won't run anything else.

Re: Which tire seats easiest
My latest tire, the Michelin Hydro 225, went on just as easy as the 205 Kumho.
I think it all depends on the guy who does the job.
I deliver my wheel, choose the tire, pay for it and in the mean time it's done.
In and out in 5 minutes.
Robert.

Either will seat below 100 lbs in a 70 series.

Thanks guys, for the replys, think I'll go for the Michelin HE. Then thanks to Minnesota winter I can try it out in 3 or 4 months. Sometimes I wish I wasn't born way up here in this neck of the woods.

Just because you were born there doesn't mean you have to stay there. I was born in Minneapolis, and have been up there a couple times. Real pretty in the summer.

Re: Which tire seats easiest
Jerry,
I agree with you on pretty in the summer up here. I hauled logs and pulpwood for many years off the Echo Trail, or what is now the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, and there is some beautiful country in there. But ya, the winters are too long here, you guys just 2-300 miles further south have quite a bit longer summer. But this is home and no rush hour traffic, and housing is very affordable.

Mine was mounted by local GY dealer and they said it seated at 65lbs with no problems.
