Tire for 1300 VTX Honda?
My riding bud has this bike and his back tires only last about 4K -!!!!???? Some kind of "K" model and Honda says it's the "only one" he can run on it.
Please. If that were true and it were my bike, I'd sell that lemon.
His tire is a 175/80/15 so what CT would you guys recommend for him? I have him about convinced this is the solution, but I'll have to do the legwork.

No, I got the numbers right off the tire - 175. It has aluminum wheels, stock. Pretty nice ones, actually. Who is "they"?
I saw some 175/80/15 CT's out there, but would rather recommend something someone has already tried. He doesn't have
any money to spare.

CT numbers usually end in 5 and MT usually end in 0.

VTX 1300C
Being a new member of the darkside, I wanted to put my lil two cents worth in. My friend "quadancer" had been enthusiastically trying to convince me of the value and possibilities of going to the darkside. Needless to say, I was very skeptical. I have been on motorcycles since I was 14 (I'm 47 now) and I had just never heard of such a thing.
Well let me tell you....WOOT-WOOT!!! I have just put a P205/70R15 Dunlop Signature on my 2006 VTX 1300C and I LOVE it!. I must admit the first day I was a lil leary of it and it handled a lil funny. But now after riding it a few days I cant believe that I just am finding out about this. Not only does the ride feel as good as any motorcycle tire, I ride with a much greater sense of confidence on that big, meaty tire. Maybe its my own imagination , but I believe that I have about a two-three foot smaller turning radius as well.
Thank you Quadancer for steering me into this direction and thank goodness for Darksiders!!! Of course I am now a true member and will be for life!

Congrats and welcome to the wonderful world of the darkside. If you think you like the darkside now, just wait until you ride it in wet riding conditions. Then it will really show you what it can do.

It's all I can stands an' I can't stands no more... I just ordered the Vredestein and some Dynabeads for the Heritage. These guys are gonna have to make a Harley forum just for me!
Now to find a buyer for the 150/70/16 Pirelli Night Dragon - still new. Guess I'll hit Craigslist when I do the swap.
